On a Side note , this week students in my homeroom (academic enrichment class) competed in a Dia De Los Muertos Door decorating competition. We will find out next week who won!

This week the students at Shaw learned more about one another. Now that students really know one another and have a relationship with one another, the students created picture collages. The students brought in pictures from their early childhood and shared their pictures in class. Some of the stories student shared included: divorce of parents, death of loved ones, vacations and celebrations, incarceration of loved ones, and other significant moments in their lives. When students shared personal things with the class, the class comforted the students and thanked them for sharing. It was great to see students supporting one another.
